We implement by structuring our work, conforming to the needs of the task and realizing our objectives.
Collaboration (see opposite face) complements our need to implement. If we neglect structuring, conforming and realizing, we have nothing to collaborate around. Conversely, implementation at the expense of respecting, responding and improvising undermines collaboration.
Our desire to implement drives our visualization of what we want, our organization of resources and our contribution to the overall effort. Leadership emerges when implementation is supported by a foundation of collaboration.
"Americans, more than most people, believe that history is the result of individual decisions to implement conscious intentions."
- George F. Will
"Everyone has his own specific vocation or mission in life; everyone must carry out a concrete assignment that demands fulfillment. Therein he cannot be replaced, nor can his life be repeated, thus, everyone's task is unique as his specific opportunity to implement it."
- Victor Frankl
"By ratifying the Convention, governments become legally bound to implement the rights therein."
- Carol Bellamy
